Following its ground-breaking release of the first online telecoms training course designed specifically for study using a tablet, PTT has now released two more tablet courses.

The courses TCA: “Telephony and data services” and TCC: “Telecoms infrastructure and administration” are designed for those joining the telecoms sector particularly in a managerial role.

These courses along with the existing tablet course TCB: “Wireless communications” are available through the learntelecoms App for iPad or Android tablets.

In our busy lives, finding time to keep up with trends in telecommunications can be problematic. But now PTT has the answer with the launch of the first course in a series designed specifically for study on a tablet. The new “Wireless communications” course is available through the learntelecoms App which is available for Apple® iPad® and for Android™.

This tablet course retains the interactive training facilities of PTT’s other online courses:

• Technical words and acronyms have links to an online glossary giving an instant explanation.
• Interactive simulations explain concepts and systems operation.
• Onscreen question sessions at the end of each module test understanding and provide further guidance and instruction.

We appreciate that for those whose first language is not English studying technical subjects in that language can be difficult. Now PTT offers a solution.

Technical words and acronyms in all PTT online courses have hyperlinks to definitions of those words and acronyms. Also at the end of each module in a PTT course have summaries of the topics covered in that module.

Some PTT courses now have those definitions and summaries available in French and Dutch as an alternative to the English versions. To benefit from these translations, all you need to do is select your preferred language from a menu in the course.

The PTT courses with translations include: TAF: “IP networks” and SRD: “Telecoms networks and services“.
